This one was special. I had reached out to Work Louder when I was just starting out because I genuinely admired their work. They weren’t looking for collaborations at the time—but about six months later, they came back to commission an illustration in my art style for their Nomad-E keyboard.

The brief was open-ended, but the challenge was clear: how do you make a keyboard feel celestial without using space motifs directly on the keys?

It began with many sketches exploring different storytelling angles. At one point, I even tried turning the Work Louder logo into a spaceship. Fun, but it didn’t quite stick.

I went through weeks of iterations—some versions leaned too complex, others didn’t feel like me.

Another important challenge was figuring out how to highlight the product clearly on a mobile device. I designed in vertical resolution and spent a lot of time playing with positioning. When creating for social media, especially on small screens, every visual decision really matters, clarity and presence become everything.

Eventually, I stripped things back and focused on highlighting the unique transparent shell of the physical product, making that signature orange pop.

The keycaps are textured like stars scattered across a night sky, and an astronaut gazes upward in awe.

It’s a quiet moment of wonder—balancing their love for play and functionality with my own storytelling aesthetic.

And finally, using the camera rig in the Deep Paint add-on, I added a parallax effect animation—something that has become a signature in my work.

It was an absolute joy to work on this. And to think that the very company I once dreamt of working with reached out to me? A dream commission come true.
